mike_palermiti 0 Posted June 25, 2013 Hi Lannie,A "seedy" mood is well established here. Nice documentary image.I know the camera and lens well, but there was no EXIF data describing what camera/lens settings were used for this shot.Best Regards my friend, Mike Link to comment
stp 6 Posted June 26, 2013 I wonder if you could omit the sky entirely and include only elements of the building. I have a feeling that might be even more effective. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted June 26, 2013 Thanks, guys. Mike, this is definitely in a decaying part of downtown, although the front facades of these buildings still look quite nice. Stephen, I have been thinking about cropping out the sky, too. I also don't like the way the branches look against the sky. This view was actually quite a bit darker than shown here. --Lannie Link to comment
AmyHelmick 0 Posted July 22, 2013 This is one of my favorites of your recent work. The tones and shadows work nicely together; it looks like it was taken at dusk; I can almost hear the circadas chirping. Though the sky is light in this crop, I do like how the branches in the sky seem to continues on from the shadows (obviously, they don't exactly match up, but the basic continuation of the shadowed trees is kind of neat, I think).Amy Link to comment
