I had 1 chance to get this shot from the top of the lighthouse near the bridge and it was through a window....... I'm really happy with the result!

All three images in the series have a unique flavour and style of thier own and I think each epitomise the time of day they were taken.

I would agree Ross though that this is very special! The band of fog adds a great atmosphere to the scene!

 

I am curious to know why you felt HDR was necessary? Harsh Light perhaps?

Thanks so much for the kind words! To be more clear, this is a single frame tone mapped image. A multiple frame HDR treatment wasn't necessary due to the limited tonal range. So you are correct in that regard. As far as tone-mapping, I love the look of it and the details that come out. So that is a personal preference. Thanks for the comments!
