Hi Dave,

A great portrait shot at 300mm F/5.6.

Technically as good as it gets with this lens set to F/5.6.

This fellow reminds me of a character in one Western movie I saw a while back, Tombstone.

Best Regards, Mike

Hello, The image has an original feel to it, which you have captured and presented to us very well. The ragged bandana to the scruffy beard and long hair it all contributes to the "character". Nice work.

Holger

Bill, this guy was a real character to watch. Thanks for the feedback.

Mike, thanks for the technical feedback. This fellow was acting out the gunfight at the OK corral in Tombstone. Funny you made that connection.

Holger, thanks for looking at this shot in detail.

Holger described it perfectly as "original".

For me it epitomises what a "real" cowboy would have looked like. Rather than the movies version of what they look like.

The expression is also very fitting for the character, and you have captured the detail perfectly!

Compliments!

Florin - this character was reenacting the shootout at the OK coral. He played the role opposite Wyatt, the head of the Clanton gang. Interesting you picked up on the theme. Thanks for the visit.

Cool. Right on the spot. Well, almost :)

Wyatt is dressed in black, of course...
