shoreham by sea town and downs Poppies Like a yawn of fire from the grass it came to brighten a dull June day

I was looking for a different view on poppies to contrast with the ongoing

grey weather of June in the UK. Any comments on this shot would be

Hi William, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my poppy picture. I see we have similar tastes in pictures (and places to live) :-)

Is this near the Southwick tunnel? I've been meaning to stop off there. Mine was taken in the fields north of Falmer Stadium - the densest poppy coverage I think I've ever seen.

Anyway, I love this picture. The only thing I would say is that on my monitor the whites in your sky look a bit grey, like they've been pushed to far in post processing. Still a great shot though, and you managed to get one with both the yellow and red in the same field - I missed that this year :-(
