LOOKING FOR LOVE

As a counselor in a middle school, I hear girls protest that their mother

do not let them go any where with their friends. This girls where walking

slowly in an area where there are hundreds of men coming in and out of

a large Gym. Thank you for looking. Rates/Comments highly

my first impression (before reading your explanation and focusing on the writing and the teenagers walking into that direction) was rather: are today's kids pushed in too narrow boundaries to a questionable direction (in the sense, that the only expectation to them is to "perform" and "Deliver Results")?

Your text puts this photo into a slightly different context. In Germany it seems we are a bit more relaxed - I wouldn't see a big issue in their behaviour and dressing. But, I see your point.

Being parents to two girls, we're daily trying to find the right balance between providing freedom and setting boundaries (and of course the "setting boundaries" part is never welcome...).
