ha-ni-ton 0 Posted June 15, 2013 For a second, it looks like a shadow. For another, as a reflection. The combination of black and white, blur, and the cropped head creates curiosity to know who is this person. I am not sure if the grains add to it or not. I love this picture. Link to comment
avitalmontaguslonim 0 Posted June 16, 2013 Such a magical shot! It has such a dreamy feel to it . A bit haunting - still and cold, and yet- nostalgic and warm. the black and white here is great . I give it a 6! Link to comment
iliafarniev 13 Posted June 17, 2013 Thanks, folks. Appresiate your kind attention and opinions. This BTW is original shot on Ilford Delta 400 right out of scanner in full frame - so grain is natural. Link to comment

iliafarniev 13 Posted June 19, 2013 Thanks. I think people see grain in different ways: oldtimers who're used to film looks see it as such and digital generation see it as compositional element created. I think, on this picture it adds simple nostalgic quality and almost primitive simplicity of irrelevant appeal. Thanks again for your kind attention. Link to comment
avitalmontaguslonim 0 Posted June 20, 2013 By the way this reminds me a lot of Henri Cartier- Bresson's cycler:) Link to comment
iliafarniev 13 Posted June 21, 2013 (-: I think some European photographers tend to see bicycle as romantic object. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted June 22, 2013 The blur stirs. I like the grain. It's impressionistic in that it conveys something real relying on motion and emotion. Link to comment
