Guest Guest Posted July 20, 2013 As with so many photos, my reaction would depend on the context in which I'm seeing it. As a movie poster of a sort of hipster comedy, I would get a charge out of it. It certainly was a compelling scene and I would enjoy coming across such a scene unexpectedly. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted July 20, 2013 I've passed by this location on a car ride from Albuquerque to Oklahoma City years ago but didn't stop as we were pressed for time. I imagine it would be difficult to get a clean shot without spectators in it, which will limit composition, and the skies will be generally bland unless one were lucky enough to be there on a meteorologically dramatic day. The playful rendering here gives the illusion of snow on the ground (which does happen) and a gradient to a pinkish sky makes for a pleasant image, and probably much more interesting than the unaltered original. LineMartel 6,230 Posted July 20, 2013 You are right... Unless you are there when the occasional storm is approaching... this location is mostly very bright sun, thus the alteration... I was lucky that there was not too many people painting on the cars! Link to comment
