cegeiss 6 Posted June 12, 2013 This is a shot from one of my recent back country trips. It was shot with an Olympus E-PL1, and the camera's sensor is not too fond of long (under) exposures. The original image had significant banding, especially in the sky, and it took quite a bit of work to make it go away (one layer for the stars, one blurred layer for the color of the sky, one unmanipulated layer for the foreground). If anybody has a better idea on how to get rid of the sensor banding noise - I'd appreciate it. Nik Dfine 2 did a pretty mediocre job, leading me to all this PS manipulation. Grabbing a better camera isn't really an option. I am preparing for a more serious trip next year, and my gear has to fit into one ziplock bag. Link to comment
