Larger view is better. The movie might have been titled Thirst in the

Desert. As always, I value your comments and visits. Thanks. Larry

Beautiful image with fine shades of blue together with cloud formation. I like the 3d feeling it creates to the back of the picture together with the colours in front and the line in the middle fits very good to the composition. Fine work. br Hannu

Hannu,  Thanks for your visit and comment.  We stopped at the side of the road for this image.  We lucked out in the clouds department.  Death Valley is so often cloudless.   I appreciate your reaction.  I understand that Ansel Adams liked to say that every image had two people present, the photographer and the viewer.  Your opinions mean a lot.  Best to you.  Larry

Just lovely. I might have gotten up close with those green shrubs on the left as your visual contrast and foreground interest.  This is just a personal 'what I would do' and it is not a recommendation.  All the best,

Back to visit - looking at your clouds, I think it tells me that you have a magenta (blue and red) bias in the image which is more evident in the clouds.  Not sure if it is my monitor or not but maybe you might want to play with the color balance. Just a thought!  All the very best,

Hi Tony,    Thanks for your visit and well taken thoughts.  This is one of those images taken at the side of the road on a 90 degree F day with my wife in the car who was not ecstatic about waiting for me to dally over yet another image.  Regarding the green plants about mid-way up, I guess my mind was on capturing a wide angle.  I was too far away to walk up there under the circumstances.  I see what you mean about the magenta cast in the clouds and will play around with a copy of my original image.  Your input is most helpful.  Best to you.  Larry

I understand re green shrubs and you might have been bitten by a snake on the way there.

Tony,  The way to avoid snake bites is to watch each step.  Don't step on holes in the ground or rustle any plants.  I fixed the sky on the original.  Thanks for your observation, Tony.   Larry
