The whole frame in portrait format is horizontally divided in three equal segments and the solitary man is well placed in it as a vertical subject. Beautiful composition and image.

What a beautiful subject, well captured. Personally I would crop out the sea and some of the bottom layer of sand, leaving boy with the three layers of sand (just left pretty much with the soft tones of the sand and differing textures as background for the boy). For me that would be an excellent image in colour and in b/w too.
