Sundial

This sundial sculpture is at the welcome center in Grande Prairie,

Alberta.

As a former flyer, I only see an airplane rudder ;-).  Excellent composition to frame the distant trees...  Mike

You have captured the light and color beautifully with this...lovely deep blue and warm sun tones! The framing of the whole image is very nice, but I especially like how you have put the trees in the large opening. Great!

Lovely capture Christal, caught the sun just at the right time. Were you visiting your daughter and family (mainly granddaughter!!!) ;-) I hope so, I know how you miss them!( I just looked at the exposure date, this must have been last summer-hope you get to see them this year!)

Thanks, everyone!  I honestly probably wouldn't have tried to shoot this if it weren't for the trees peeking through.  Although it was a pretty cool sculpture to have in the small town of Grande Prairie, Alberta.  :-) 

Gail, Yes, we'll see our daughter again this summer.  They came here at Thanksgiving.  Twice a year isn't enough, so hopefully when I retire we can spend more time with them.  Nothing against Edmonton, but we hope they end up back in Calgary after Matt's residency.  It's closer to the mountains, and it's where all of Matt's family is.
