David, yes, the top leaf is sitting on another. Originally, the top leaf was quite red and dried out and the bottom was rather green and alive. I planned it as a color shot, but preferred this in the end--partly perhaps since I'm going to have a show of the leaf shots in November. thanks for your comment.
