One of the best nude presentation. Love the colours. composition and tones. Excellent use of lighting. Congrats.

Ken,

Your composition, lighting and pose of model are beyond reproach!  What I would fault you for is the use of the purple scarf.  Without it, the flesh tones, the red hair, the makeup colors and soft cream colored wall make a perfect close clustered color scheme - each color (but the scarf) being a close neighbor of Caucasian flesh tones.  Artists often call such a color scheme a variation on a single hue or a monocolor scheme.  But the use of the purple just throws this away.

My advice is to convert this image to a monochrome black and white or perhaps a sepia tone to get rid of the purple.

The best book on color that I ever found is Color.... How to See and Use it by Fred Bond, Camera Craft 1954.  Unfortunately it was bound by plastic spirals and with age these break, making the book hard to find.  I was lucky enough to be working in color when it was published so bought it new.  It includes color wheels using Munsell Color Charts which have small likelihood of changing color when stored in the dark. It has included grey color cutouts that can be used to study color schemes independent of any art work.

Regards,

Jerry

Beautiful light, first of all. Excellent sinuous Burne-Jones style pose from the model. Agree with previous post about the purple scarf, although it is draped very well.

Ah, such a goddess she is and you've made a very fine image with her. I like the violet vs her red hair too I do!

I agree with Raymond, take away the colours and you remove along with them the personality of this photo.  A fine choice, very nicely photographed, bravo.

The color contrast between the scarf and the model's hair significantly enhance the "mood/feel" of the image and reinforces  the impact of her facial expression. This is excellent! Kudos to you both.
