A casual environmental portrait. The soft light has reduced harsh shadows. A few thoughts. I find it rather contrasty and would lower it to reveal detail in the subject. The wide angle has introduced a fair bit of distortion due to tilting the camera down and the relative distance, apparent in the subject and the trucks in the back. There is also some chromatic aberration noticeable on the top of the shed and the poles upper right. I did an edit to show some corrections, just my 2 cents.

Thank you for looking closely at this one, large I guess, and for applying the enhancement tweaks  you point out.I appreciate the feedback and it is obvious we  eye this differently. On the large version,I adjusted the tones to match my friend's tanned skin from his 10 hrs-a-day at sea.

I was at the 18mm of the lense with his face centered;there was a slight tilt from my being  taller and him in that ackward bending position but somehow the distortions especially on the truck and the pink ice box seem to be more pronounced on the edited version.I adjusted the frame to include a full lightpole and winch boom in the upper right corner.

As for the chromatic aberration in the sky,I guess the level of my PP skills caught up with me.

Again,I appreciate the feedback and edit which was good, but just different.

Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent

Fisherman happiness! (I know that feeling and it's good...).

Thanks for your nice photos about this activity Laurent! Best regards.

Thank you. This is a happy moment in a frustraring season for these fishermen as the lobster overstocks has driven the prices down and limited the capacity to sell their catch.
