She was running ahead of her mother and I was desperate to take her

image from the front, but.... Suddenly the mother got distracted talking,

and I was able to get one image only! Thank you for looking.

Rates/comments highly appreciated.

Good capture Jorge . It looks as though she is dressed up for an event ! I like the way you've caught her with one foot off the ground . Bill

Of all the pix I just scrolled through, this one grabbed me. Great shot!

As much as I think we overemphasize narrative to the point where it can get in the way or be used to cover for otherwise "bad" art, there is no doubt we love it. And it sure works here - there is a lot of room for the viewer to create his/her own narrative about this girl.

Technically,

  • As much as I'd be tempted to try to match the red ground cover with the red in the dress, I think I'd actually go the other way and desaturate the ground cover to make her pop a bit more.
  • The light conditions are tough, very flat. Is there more you can do to try improve that?
  • It's always surprising to me how much difference it makes to catch even a bit of facial features. For me, the glimpse of eyelashes here has a hugely positive impact, especially with the baby-face skin.

This is a delicately beautiful and at the same time resolute creature that you were able to capture. She is almost ethereal, but then that stuffed animal brings her right back to earth. Crazy good!

Hi Jorge,

A nice young girl's fashion statement.

I would shot wide open rather than stopping down to F/7.1.

Best Regards my friend, Mike

Beautiful tiny young lady, dressed for party and with her rose Hannah Montana ballerina shoes....

Of course nobody sees your friend, sweetie. Of course.

Splendid.
