Christal1664882414 0 Posted May 25, 2013 An industrial looking abstract because of the colors, but do you like it? Please comment either way. Link to comment

Tony Long 28 Posted May 26, 2013 Hi ChristalSuper abstract. Would hang this on my wall, but would rotate it anticlockwise with the animal head, I see, at the top. I think an image I would not tire of.RegardsTony Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted May 26, 2013 I was about to write and ask when you were going to start posting more images and I came upon this one!Very creative and original, superb colours and textures. I could envisage a series of them hanging on the wall of some very expensive law office!Compliments & Best Regards Alf Link to comment
jerrymat 3 Posted May 26, 2013 Hello Christal,This is a very pleasing image. I am wondering how much of it was originally found and how much post production changed it. I have no opinion that one is better than another but am aware that we are living in the transition stage in which photography moves from being a recorder of reality to being a medium of expression.Regards,Jerry Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted May 27, 2013 Bill and Ruud, thank you very much gentlemen! Radu, what you're envisioning is close to what this actually is. It's river rock (big stones), which is similar to what an old European stone fence or cottage would be. Thanks for your observation! Antony.....this is precisely why I love PN so much. I love your idea, which I had not considered. I'll tell you what I see though. I almost named this the "Peanut Gallery", both because the figures vaguely resemble peanut shapes, and also because they look like a bunch of people crammed into a seating arrangement.....hence the 'peanut gallery'. It's so great so see what another set of eyes can envision. I'm starting to like abstracts more and more because they leave so much to the imagination. Thanks for your visit and comment! Alf.....It may be awhile before I start participating on PN in any significant way. We've had a lot going on. I'll email you. But I do thank you for that supreme compliment. I like how organic the colors are, but I realize that this isn't everyone's cup of tea. :-) Jerry....to be honest I thought the original of this was an okay image, but it lacked imagination, and it certainly was nothing I'd ever hang on the wall. However, I loved the organic and earthy colors of this, so I pulled out an old effect from one of the first versions of Elements called Glass Blocks. I liked the effect in this instance. I’ll post the unedited version so you can compare. Link to comment
steveshinn 0 Posted May 27, 2013 Hi Christal, what's not to like... other than having it draw the eye into the thing for all sorts of wanderings. It's almost hypnotic. Very nicely done! Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted May 29, 2013 Thanks for your thumbs up on this one. Although, some people don't think this is 'real' photography, so I know it doesn't appeal to everyone. But believe it or not, to make these alterations work, I have to start out with a good photo to begin with, so I'm rationalizing that it IS indeed photography. :-) Glad you liked it! Link to comment
