Larry,is incredible how large view looks,is huge and almost makes me feel to be there in front of it,I like how texture is seen and green from the bottom did a nice color contrast with rocks color.Wait to see more from your experience there, all my best to you.

Just curious.....what size do you use to reduce your images for PN?  It's wonderful to have a large view....for sure.....but yours are so large that I can't see them on one screen.  I have to scroll to see the entire image.  Now there is a plus and a minus to that.  The plus is what I"m experiencing with this image.  It literally took my breath away when I clicked on the large version.  The detail is extraordinary, and it really brings this image to life.  I would suggest that you consider putting (larger view available), or something to that effect, after your title to encourage people to click on the larger view.  I noticed this with many of your other shots too....that they are much more stunning when viewed large.

Christal and Gail,

Nice to connect with you both on this image.  The sharpness is due to using a tripod and shooting with a long depth of field.  I appreciate your responses.  Christal, For PN, I reduce image size to 1499 pixels on the longest side of the image.  I also present them in either a resolution of 300 pxs per inch or 240.  The sizes of the larger views seem to vary depending on the image.  I understand that smaller monitors or mobile devices may need to be scrolled to get in the entire image.  I don't think this is a usual case.  It's tough for me to judge because I use a 27" iMac.  I appreciate your comment and will try to watch this.   With an mid-day image like this I find that filling the frame and emphasizing texture goes a long way.   Thanks to you both.  I look forward to our continuous visits.   Larry

Larry, the impact of this scene absolutely requires a large size, and even that cannot capture the grandeur of nature, as you well know.  This is a very good effort at making us feel that we can step right into the picture and be there at that time and place.
