Saadsalem 74 Posted May 24, 2013 This is a fine street shot ,well edited concerning colors and light . But I am just wondering why both of them looks standing ,I could agree that the man could slow his steps for taking the glance , but why is she ? street photography is seldom to be staged ,which I think this image is a staged one ,and please do forgive me if I am wrong. jacquelinegentry 0 Posted May 24, 2013 Hi Saad,Well you are wrong. This shot was not staged. The photograph was taken without either of them knowing. The street which they are on is very steep. The old guy had stopped to get his breath back. The day was very wet and going down hill on cobble stones in heals is not easy, so she was taking one step at a time. the picture is cropped from a much bigger picture which shows the steep hill. charles_brennan 0 Posted May 24, 2013 I agree, wonderful colors and clarity. Really great atmoshphere, I like the cobblestones and buildings. The rain adds shine to the street and is a nice touch to set the mood. Perfect timing. Nice image. Link to comment
krpradu 125 Posted May 25, 2013 This looks so good, way you worked this photo gives a special mood for it not only the moment caught(that by the way, it was so well seen). Can you give some details about process you did here? Link to comment

Margo_Wade11664880111 0 Posted May 26, 2013 Entrancing scene with great detail and colour. It could easily be a scene from an Agatha Christie myster, or maybe a John Le Carre thriller. Wonderful! Link to comment
edbrown 0 Posted May 26, 2013 Like many of the street shots that I admire this image evokes a narrative in my mind. I enjoyed your description of what was going on and how it was cropped for effect. It shows me that the potential for street photographs is in they eye of the photographer. Thanks for a fine image and an interesting story of creating it. Ed Link to comment
