Wouter Willemse 851 Posted May 25, 2013 The swirly staircase works well, also a bit a reminder maybe of Cartier-Bresson's famous photo with the bicycle... To me, it helped setting a sense of expectation. And I'm not being disappointed - the fact that there is nobody there just seems exactly right to me. Maybe because of the contrast of the curve (which seems to imply some liveliness), the round table... it's a scene that should sparkle with life, and yet it doesn't... it gives the photo an extra level of depth to me.My only point of comment would be the top - I find the top part above the stairs kind of distracting and adding little to the scene. But not too distracting either, so I can also imagine leaving it as it is. Link to comment
