Wayne Sadler 567 Posted May 20, 2013 As I explored this back-lit iris, I began to see a form suggesting a cat standing over the stamen that appeared to glow as a flame. Comments and critique welcome. Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 567 Posted May 24, 2013 Thanks, Radu and Doug for your kind comments. I considered that Doug, but was unsure of my ability to lighten without making it appear too "false". Link to comment

Jack McRitchie 150 Posted April 3, 2015 Your pictures remind me of a Robert Capa quote "If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough." Of course he was referring to street photography (or at least I assume he was) but your close ups of flowers allow us to see this world in an entirely new light. I've noticed the tightness of composition in many of your pictures which seems to focus and condense the information in the picture frame in ways that emphasize form and are indeed almost sculptural. Wayne Sadler 567 Posted April 3, 2015 Jack,Many thanks. I am not sure at one point I realized "seeing closer" was more than magnification - that different things present themselves when we look closer, somewhat akin to fractals. Link to comment
gi11 0 Posted October 3, 2018 What a beautiful floral photo, striking for the splendid light contrasts. I revised your galleries, they are even more beautiful then some years ago. Link to comment
