Great shot Tm!  There's such a lot to like about this shot; the imitating posture and close proximity of the two birds, the adult kneeling, the open beak of the adult, the oof flowers in the background, the low perspective, the reflections ...

Thanks Dom! I was sitting down (relaxing) and that helps some in holding the lens steady. Shooting flying birds handheld is easy, shooting perching or  resting bird handheld is much more difficult, btw. I have to aim at the bird for a long time to wait till the mother stand up a bit and the little one comes out. Seems like .. forever. :-)

 

Thanks Phil! You hit all the elements that I try to put in the image. We were (a bunch of us with long lenses) mesmerized by the great lighting and this view yesterday. It's a beautiful day!

 

Been wondering if may be I should cut the bottom a bit though.
