Ah, the life of a dog, Tony.  This one has it made.  No flash on this, shooting at ISO 2000.   I filled in the dark dog and shadows using LR4 tools.  I DO have a Gary Fong diffuser and like it very much.   With the 5D Mark III high ISO capabilities I almost never use flash...

Indeed,  the colours, texture and composition combine to make a most charming photo .. I love backstage-style work, bravo.
