Thank you my friend, I think like you about the emotional mood, despite the bunch of academic defects. Taken inside a museum from 10 meters more or less, focal 135 mm, F 2.8, 1/80s, ISO 800, handheld, with low lightning. Then, a poor technical result. But, when I pressed the shutter my thought were aimed to his expression of concentration.

Carlo, my sentiment which others are free to disagree with is that too much attention is given sometimes on PN to technique and so called rules. There are no rules, photographic art has to do with feelings and emotion, and your images never fail to convey them.

Again, this is a beautiful photo with a strong impact factor, intimate and personal, yet not at all  intrusive. It is taken by someone that can recognize the moment and convey his vision gently and discreetly through his work.

I identify totally with the clarity of this image, it does not need any more focus or definition in order to apprehend the message. Excellent once again, bravo.

(may I suggest you post this in the portrait section, I am confident that others will benefit  and derive pleasure from seeing this too).

Your thoughtful comment draw perhaps one of the most interesting dilemma of the photographic art. I have not a simple answer for it, but I like your point of view, when you say that it does not need any more focus or definition in order to apprehend the message.

This statement from your side well could be a rule for the art, specially aimed to the "non obvious" (as photographic skill or academic perfection) when the photographer has something to express.

Ups! I am being boring! Than you again John.
