This image was taken on Thanksgiving Day in October of 2008. I had

not had my Rebel for very long. I'd been using a FujiS9000 before

this. To have a Camera where I could use different lenses was a

wonderful new experience. I still was not used to the many functions

of my Camera but that did not stop me form just 'taking pictures'!! I

visited a Farmers Market quite near to Newcastle and Oshawa area

that had always been a favorite. It was so busy the farmers field was

nearly full of cars. They always have many attractions for Children

and Families. The wonderful sounds of children enjoying the sunny

day filled the crisp Fall air. I was interested in seeing their Corn Maze

that was always a hit before and during Halloween. Along the way, I

found a shady side of the main house where it was quiet. The aroma

of Pumpkins, Apples and leaves on the ground was delightful. I soon

found this inviting Willow Setee that looked so welcoming, I paused

and sat for a bit, just thankful for the lovely day and every blessing

that came with it. (visits and comments welcome, posted under Dig

Alt, many thanks, Gail)

amazing. ''Pleasures of Fall,'' well, one might be relaxing enough just to call it, ''Fall'' instead of ''Autumn.'' Ahh well. My own fault for moving.

Looks crisp and wonderful. cleverly perfect red stripe along the top. best, jamie

I love the Willow Furniture, but you can't sit for too long without at least a thin pad!!! Many thanks for your visit!!!

I have had thought of making a Calendar. I purposely processed this one with a bit of an HDR look. It is much like a series of images on a Country Calendar I have from years back. The artist also does Note Paper, Cards, etc. Just a thought for the future. I love new Projects, especially for gifts.

HI Gail,

You have presented another wonderful real scene from life.

When Betsy and I lived in upstate New York, we could relate to scene s like this from the day we meet. each of our homes had yards , with flowers, trees, and an outside bench or chairs around a table. So quaint.

Well shot my dear friend.

Warmest Regards, Mike

I recall when visiting the Finger Lakes, there were such beautiful country homes along the way. Estates actually. I think Upstate New York is probably more scenic. The route we take to get to Buffalo, is not so scenic, but once you start driving out of Williamsville into the country there is more to see. This Farmers Market sells fresh produce, dairy products, fresh baked pastires, and people always delight in the fruits and veggies that are in season. I miss stopping there. It is a bit of a drive for us now, but Shauna and the children still love to visit there.

Thanks so much for sharing those memories with me, and of course for your visit!!!

Warmest regards, Gail

Dear Gail,

There is something about the remarkable detail, color palette and evenness of lighting in this beautiful image that gives it an almost "Van Gogh"-like quality. What you have captured (and also share with VG) is a remarkable sense of place, ambience and mood....makes me want to be sitting there! (yes...with a soft pad!).

Nice!

...for this splendid corner. About the "woman...problem", I'll anwer to you with a bit of calm but you are right, the true problem is "woman-man& man-woman"! Ciao, Maurizio.

A very inviting place to sit and just relax, enjoy the view of whatever scene is in front. Nicely done and composed. Regards, Gail
