Spring in the woods

This woods is a flood plain of the Mississippi.  Springtime is muted colors as the plants gather strength to begin sprouting.  Soon this entire woods will be covered with thick green foliage.

I very much like the delicate colors of the new leaves and the blue of the reflecting sky. If I changed one thing I would probably try to avoid the cropped green twigs in the foreground. It is a very nice spring picture of a normal, unspectacular landscape. Those are hard to do (way harder than those purple and orange sunsets on the coast with streaks of crashing waves) and you did it well. Congratulations!
