Was this taken in nature or a studio? Did you PS the black background or create it with a background you put in the shot?

I ask because many of your flower shots are wonderful.

When I rate photos, and I don't very often, they really have to grab me. ( No, I'm not the most interesting man in the world. :) I too dig the outrageously gorgeous colors. The black background and unorthodox crop are also very nifty. I'm not really a flower aficionado, but this one is something special. Kudos, Jerry King

You have presented a picture of a real flower with fine detail looking like a piece of abstract art. Also a good crop giving more emphasis to the water drop.
