dilip 0 Posted September 4, 2003 Frank, I like your picture - the composition, the shadow superimposed onto the textured dune, and the tight crop with little sky exposed. I wonder if the sky hasn't been enhanced to be unnaturally blue? I also wonder what the picture would look like with a less fanciful font and if the font were pulled in a tiny bit to the left so it doesn't end to the R or even under the R edge of the picture. Thanks for sharing this picture! Link to comment
franfor 0 Posted September 5, 2003 This picture was taken in the north peninsula of La Guajira in Colombia, as part of a book to be published in Nov/2003. Any comment more than welcome. Link to comment
alan chan 0 Posted September 5, 2003 Frank, I like the proportion of blue sky and your main yellow main tone. inclination of the shadow somehow balance equally with the desert-sky line. Have you taken any landscape format ? would be interesting to see a comparison :) Link to comment
terry_paauw 0 Posted September 5, 2003 I like this very much. The many diagonal lines, the simplicity of the colours, the angle of the pose. They all work very well and prompt me to ask "Where is she going?" Link to comment
franfor 0 Posted September 15, 2003 Dilip, thanks for you comments, I will take into account the one on the font and signature position. I have used a polarizer, so this may be the reason for the blue. Alan, unfortunately I did not shot it horizontal, I wish I did. Link to comment
