I have just visited Pierre's portfolio above and compared his images to quantum science in which every possible pathway must be considered before an interpretation is made (I hope he took it as a compliment).

Your work is the diametric opposite in that it conveys a very precise message, albeit one which will differ from person to person, and in that sense it is closer to relativity in that it depends on the viewpoint from which the perception is made.

Your photos are filled with emotion, with aspirations both future and past. They should be viewed calmly, privately and be allowed to convey their effect.

The figure above is no exception. The eyelash in reflective mode, it's mirror image which seems more appeased, the timepiece and trajectory implied through the window all set the scene whose message is to be conveyed. The only problem  in interpreting such photographs is that one ends up saying more about oneself than the photo!  Enough to say that your photography is inspiring, introspective and yet magnanimous in approach in the way it reaches out to others. I always enjoy looking at your work Carlo, thank you.

John

After your insightful comment I have visited the Pierre's portfolio once more than. I should confess that he has several skills that I haven't, this is one of the reasons because I admire his work, and there are more reasons than just this, of course.

On the other hand I have visited again your well known work, a pleasant ride I should say. But this wasn't just to pay back your visit, but to try to dig deep in your work in order to search clues, trying to understand the reasons of such effort, your particular way of expression, and, at last, why you comment so well on my chaotic work.

In first place, you have a consistent high level of photographic quality (that I haven't, again) with your additional ability to remarks the inimitable and incomparable feminine beauty, and, once more than, your world is real, refined (technically and artistically), solid, recognizable, and absolutely pleasant. Such a bless.

Pierre is under the influence of a strange force that moves him and his camera looking for the essence of things and persons beyond the mere form, doing this work enlightened by his extraordinary imagination and creativity, an imaginary world created by himself.

I try to look inside, but not with my mind or my imagination, I try to dig inside the human spirit through their most subtle expressions, perhaps an unreal world, perhaps a created one, but not the mine, not by myself. I want to know the inner world of the others. What they feel? Why? What happen inside of their minds and hearts?

Ups! Such a boring speech! Mostly I don't like what I did. Sometimes, few times, I am satisfied.

But when I read comments like the yours then I feel my self forced to look again my own work, trying to find the gems in the mud. And sometimes it works!

Thanks a lot my friend.

Carlos, You have me nailed to this image. Full of mystery and intrigue. And that longing for the other... The finding the other in a reflection of something of yourself  (i.e. the spectacles) Wonderful psychological insight!Toast!
