Through a Small Window You Can See

A cute and lively photo.  Why the tape over the model's nipples?  We are not ruled by the Puritans.

Unfortunately, we do very much remain under the umbrella of the puritans, but I am certain that the purpose of the tape in this photo is everything other than that .. : -). 

Raymond's work emulates the early pinup age of the fifties - the stockings, garters and taped-over breasts etc., all being characteristic of an age when sexuality was rearing it's ugly head and women defied the world to take heed of their independence, by teasing us and revealing a little of themselves at a time. My respects to Betty Page who largely started it all. She was the true feminist and defender of women's rights, not those that wish to isolate women from view and make the sexes more alike.

Tape it is not... They are known as 'Pasties' and these, though its hard to see in this image, are covered in red sequins which Can be seen to gleam a bit in the light. Many of these have tassels and I remember as a lad visiting clubs in New Orleans where the dancers would make the tassels twirl, along with their breasts, in opposite directions. Though I've not visited this type of club recently, burlesque has made a resurgence and I'm sure that there are many a performer who is just as talented and that can perform this feat :=}
