Windy Ridge, Mt. St. Helens

Comments appreciated on shadow and sign. I took this from Windy

Ridge, at Mt. St. Helens National Monument. I was hoping to get a

few nice sunset shots of the mountain, but that didn't work out.

Still had a nice time--just me, my son and a lot of volcanic ash!

Maybe it's my own hang-up; but I hate to see the photographer's shadow.

The tone of the sky is lovely; but the top of the sign crossing the horizon does the composition no favours. I suggest that you should have got lower to eliminate the shadow and move the sign further into the sky.
