thadley 15 Posted May 17, 2013 greetings Michael - I like this one also. I am torn between your current version and making one a bit darker. ..... h-m-m-m - I have just decided that it is not the whole image that needs to be darker - just the leaf at the top right. And it comes down to personal taste. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted May 17, 2013 Many thanks for your critique. Can you please explain why you think the image would be better with the top leaf darker? My objective was to showcase the larger one. I always appreciate your expertise. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted May 23, 2013 Michael, based on feedback here at photo.net, I learned that in general, light areas of an image attract the eyes. The top leaf was not in focus so I decided, it was not being emphasized and as a viewer and from a personal taste, to darken that area. The focused waterdrop and the leaf in the middle seemed to be the main subject for me. In any event, it is what you like that matters. Mine is just another view and there is no correct or incorrect version. Hope that helps, Link to comment
