I love the heavy contrast and saturation of the foreground in contradistinction to the low contrast, nearly monochromatic background.  Those elements, combined with the somewhat atypical composition, make for an arresting image.

Many photographers (myself included) would most likely have shot the entire hull.  By putting your subject off-center, leaving some of it out of the frame, and working with its tilt to create diagonals, your composition really stands out.  You've also rendered the detail extremely well.
