Thanks for viewing/comments! ... For years I shoot these guys at low angle but

this time I found a place up high and it seems ok. Low angle tend to have other

birds get in the way but this high angle generally allow shooting position that

with clear shot for better composition against a clear background. Any thought

?

Thanks Michael! Yup, the fellow next to me (Larry, I think) was screaming something that start with a P...  when he alert us to this scene . We, the birdshooters, were all there for P.... scene and was delighted  :-)

You have here a very nice series of pre-mating and mating images, I agree with your shooting position, the enlarged image shows all the the details of the plumage, ciao Giangiorgio
