I really has bad perspective distortion, i.e. converging verticals that are parallel in reality. Two ways I know of how to deal with this. One, you could go out and spend a lot of money on a tilt shift lens and use it's tilt feature to correct it. Or you could use an image editor and correct it post capture. In GIMP you do it using the Perspective Tool, other programs may have different names for it. But no matter the name, what it does is allow you to stretch the the corners of the image to bring the parallel lines back to being parallel. I included an example to illustrate what I mean.
