Thanks,  Tom!  The more I look at these, the more I like them - even better than some of the original color ones.

Thanks so much, Richard.   This picture is not impressive at all in the color version.....

The color version of this shot wasn't impressive at all.

Comments and suggestions welcome.

This is a very different and dramatic take on the rock structures at Red Rock Canyon.  I'm accustomed to viewing different shades of orange and red.  But, the dark grayscale tonality makes one concentrate on the shapes and textures of the rock.

And, by the way, how did you get the cloud to sit over the mountain like this?

My best,

michael

Michael,

I appreciate your visit and comments.  Someone made a comment on one of the color shots about a B/W, otherwise I probably would never have looked at converting any of them.  I was very pleased with how some turned out.

As for the cloud.....sheer luck!  :)

Lovely Indeed with a very nice b/w conversion! I'm liking this closer view just a little better than the wide view I am.

Raymond,

Thanks so much for your kind comments!  I too like this shot better than the wider view and I am still amazed how much better this looked in b/w vs. the color shot.
