ryourth 0 Posted May 3, 2013 Passed this beautiful old home for years hoping it would be purchased & restored to it's original beauty. Passed by this year & all that remains is a barren empty lot. Thanks for looking_Ross Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted May 4, 2013 It has character, not like all the boxy new homes. What a shame it's gone... Good shot... Mike Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted May 4, 2013 Hi Mike -Thanks for your comments, you are so right, driving thru some of our new subdivisions, houses upon houses, all practically all the same, you could not stretch your arms out between them, postage size backyards.Enough to make you claustrophobic.Best Regards-Ross Link to comment
JeffBryce 0 Posted May 4, 2013 I really like the point of view and composition of this-- the placement of the tree to fill the right side. And the warmth is nice. Link to comment
adamkis 1 Posted May 4, 2013 Very nice shot. I like how the tree in the right foreground is leaning toward the house as if yearning for it to be restored, like you. Is it naturally leaning that far? Or was it some sleight of hand that made it bend like that? In any case, having the home partially covered by bare foliage is a nice touch, adding to the feeling that the property is abandoned and overgrown. Very nice color contrast on an otherwise bleak winter day. Good timing, great composition. Link to comment

ryourth 0 Posted May 5, 2013 Hi Adam-Thank you, appreciate you taking the time to express & appreciate your thoughtful comments very much. No, there is no sleight of hand, the leaning of the tree is amplified due to the tilting of the camera from a low vantage point to include everything in the image.Expect some will not like the image due to the distortion but I must admit I like the visual effect of the distortion.
