Wow ! ................................... Oh, I'm not supposed to leave comments like that ......................... lol

Ah screw it ..................... A wow is worth a 1000 words .............. What is enjoyable about this shot is obvious to you and me without going into great detail.

Very intense, moody shot. Usually fog/smoke pictures tend to be washed out, but the rust colored foreground really makes this stand out. Good job!

Great tone and and color throughout. I am drawn right down this eerie path, and there is a sense of apprehension. Congratulations on a nice shot.

Everything is lovely and dreamy here. Mysterious and mystical (no pun intended). What, other than red earth, lends the color and texture to the road?

Many thanks for the kind responses. I felt good about this one the moment it was taken. It has been beautifully foggy nearly every morning this summer but I haven't really had as much time behind the lens as I would like so glad I got at least one good one. The red on the ground is fallen leaves.

I love the layers in the fog and the color of the read (natural?) I think it may have benifited from something clearly sharp in the foreground, maybe a tree off to one side or something) but that's just beeing picky..

Super shot!

The mist was just perfect, and the sharpness of the tree in the foreground really enhances the softness of the trees in the mist. Good eye to see this one, and to catch it just right.

One of your very best, Regina, and one that grows on one the longer one looks at it.

I shall have to rethink my dictum that piney woods do not provide fertile ground for photography.

This photograph touches me so deeply...it's like a...self-portrait - seemingly simple yet complex with many hidden treasures for those who look further. I'm transported.

One of the things I like about this one is that it was a very spontaneous shot. My husband and I have habit of taking early morning drives along old roads. This was a "lets take this old dirt road" morning. This scene was just a side of the road find. I just hopped out of the pick up... took a couple of quick shots... and we continued on.

I encourage everyone, shoot everything that even slighly interests you. There are treasures in simple things. One of the reasons I started with photography is that I felt it would be that would force me to see what the world has to offer. You just have to get out there and look. After a while you don't just look... you SEE.

Robin's comments above are touching. There truly is a lot to see in even the simplest subject. Sometimes we can even find ourselves.
