Please view large. The beauty is often in the details, rather than the broad

view. As a walked on the trail, this fallen tree spoke to me along with the

soft colors of nature around it. As always, I appreciate your sharing your

views and comments. Thanks. Larry

The beauty is indeed in the details, lovely natural muted colours and fine filigree detail too. The overall composition seems to tell a story also, I can read several things into it. The strongest impression I get though is the other trees paying thier respects to their fallen friend.

Very well done Larry!

Best Regards

Alf

Hi Larry- After a rough day I have a different take than Alf. To me the two gladiator trees are standing over the fallen gladiator tree with branches spreading out & pleading for mercy but none is coming , his time is over. just kidding!! Love the soft shadow free lighting.& the low saturated colours Well seen, a nice slice of Nature in the raw Best Regards-Ross

Hi Larry, this is a very nice shot. I like the detail in the branches and overall framing of this image. I do however think might be even better in black and white. You could work the filters to maximize the contrast in the branches and use a deep red filter to darken the rocks in the background.

Alf and Ross,  You are both quite creative in your interpretations.  I must have caught you at an interesting time of day looking at this shot, with a good beer perhaps.  Really, I too felt there was a message being told about nature.  Many thanks for your visits.   Larry

Benjamin,   Thanks for your recent visits.  I was out of town, so haven't responded sooner.   Your B&W suggestion is a good one.  I will try it.  Best to you.   Larry
