museebfoto 2 Posted April 26, 2013 Hi RossYes, it gives a feeling of nostalgia. Have you tried to convert to B&W, may enhance the mood. Best regards Link to comment

jimpete 0 Posted April 27, 2013 Amazing retro shot Ross. I especially like the foam and detail in the dominant wave. She seems a bit too centered and perhaps a slight crop from the left might help. This must be film. What kind is it? Jim Link to comment
benjamin_kim 0 Posted April 27, 2013 A very nice image. I like the composition with the strong lines of the shore and the mountain ridge line. I do however feel that some detail is lost due to a lower resolution file. Do you have a higher res image? Link to comment
joscelyn_sylvester 0 Posted April 27, 2013 I like the composition and I am sure it has pleasant memories for you. The quality is not very good and I don't know if it is the fault of the 'original' or the scan itself. Sorry! Link to comment
ryourth 0 Posted April 28, 2013 HI Jim-Glad you like the image & for leaving your comments. The image is scanned from a 6x6cm Ektachrome transparency, taken with the long discontinued Mamiya Twin Lens Reflex camera, was taken about 45 years ago. Thanks again for visiting. ryourth 0 Posted April 28, 2013 Hi Benjamin- Also pleased you like the image. With regards to the resolutiion, the image was submitted with a res, of 200, although I do not know if Photo. Net accepts a resolution this high, generally a res of 97 is recommended for Web display. Like most printers, will only accept a 200 res & anything higher is ignored. Thanks for visiting. ryourth 0 Posted April 28, 2013 Hi Joscelyn-Dont be sorry for expressing your thoughts,I always appreciate an honest opinion & consider each one carefully. When processing the image I wanted the focus to be on my daughter & a bright well exposed image did not fill the bill.Making different adjustments this image appeared & I liked it right away, can not figure out why I like it,but as the visitor in the art gallery remarked,"Don't know much about Art, but, I know what I like",Also am pleased that all three of you liked the image, despite apparent faults.Best Regards-Ross Link to comment
