I like the use of flash to separate the 280 from the back ground, I think I would have turned the front wheel to the right showing the wheel as opposed to the tire thread

Well spotted - I did experiment with the direction of the tiers and i have one similar to what you mention. This does not work as well as the tire looks almost detached from the car. But it's one of the points I will work on in the future.
