It is a fine image as is. I do think including the feet would have improved  it. Perhaps just a touch of light on the dark side of the face would have helped but perhaps not.

David, Thanks very much for the feed back! I agree about lightening up the dark side of the face. It is a little darker than how it appeared on my monitor. I need to get a monitor calibrator. About the feet, I struggled over a crop with the feet in but I liked this one because it gave a more intimate feel putting the viewer closer to the subject. Very often it is a struggle for me on how much to crop.

This is a wonderful portrait, Peter.  The dramatic use of light is fantastic here...and I really like his natural expression and pose.  Superb!
