A very touching scene, beautifully composed.  Brings to mind our own boys when they were little, following us on their bikes.  And now they do the same with their own children.  Lovely memories.

It is a picture of the father-son relationship; father’s expectations that the son follow and ultimately excel him and son’s aspirations to be like father. Technically it is as sound as other images by Ruud.

A small observation Ruud; was it not possible to wait for a moment for both to pass the structure behind the boy? It is a bit of distraction.
