I like how the highlight (water?) cuts in, sifts into the cracks, surrounds and strands portions of the picture.

many thanks for your comment. It's indeed water. The main part was in the shadow of a bridge, therefore we can see "through" the water, while on the left there is the bright reflection of the sky.
