Yes, the rod is unfortunate and presents a problem that will always be part of this. Otherwise, however, there is something quite special about this photo, especially the way the hand gestures bring so much depth to the already mesmerizing faces and lips of the singers. Even the one woman's ring punctuates the musicality of this photo nicely. The catch lights in their eyes, almost mirrored by the earrings they each wear, the concentration and the rhythm of fingers all conspire to make a very rich vision.

Thanks, guys.  I didn't even see your comments.  I just got grades in and can breathe again.  I'm free. . . for a while.

Fred, it makes me want to go in and remove the rod and repaint the picture pixel by pixel where that rod is, but I know that I would make a mess of it.
