Japanese on holiday or tourist (like me) who rented the outfit for a photo op .. :-)

I think they are genuine Japanese as the cherry blossom, 'sakura', has a special meaning in their culture and their probably dressed in traditional clothes for the shoot...-:).

Thanks Dimitris! That's what my wife said also and she draw her conclusion on the bag (red bag) that they have with them. There are things/accessories that only a woman would motice. :-)

What you mentioned about celebrating Sakura is also true since prior to this we met two young ladies (probably still in highschool) in Kimono who posed with and for us and they were indeed Japanese when we asked.
