Thanks Steve!  Yup, I was anxiously going home after receiving your e-mail about the delay in stocking fish at the lake while I was in Kyoto but I got jetlag and only manage to get to the pond yesterday's lunch. There is no place ... like home! :-)

Thanks Giangiorgio! I barely got out of the car on my lunch break shooting trip and saw the Tern came down in the water, got the fish and got chase by another tern (probably 300, 400 meters away). Got to trunk of the car, grab my camera, make the adjustment to ss & f-stop hoping the bird may circle around over my head and sure enough he escaped his chaser and flew right over my head which I took 5,6 shots and this one is the last one and the best one since it's the only one that show the eye well .  I would assume that he can swallow the fish since they have been catching them at this pond for the last month or so. All this is not natural since both Cormorant & Tern are ocean fish and they are fishing at this pond which stock rainbow trout (a fresh water fish) but it's easy picking and they hang out to feed as a menace to the fishermen and to many level a delight to bird photographer (I think) . Greetings from SoCal! :-)
