The red lips are there to give some extra "punch" to the pic. I know

some of you would disagree.

I like the face (wherever, part of it) but I don't like so much the ending of the hair.

I like the concept of the original photo. The colorization and twirl draw too much attention IMHO.

Al, I like the concept and idea of this - very original. I think what doesn't convince me though is the hair itself - not because of the twirl but the actual texture of the hair. It doesn't look natural enough, rather it has a coarse almost artificial look about it, like it's been overly processed chemically, and given the age of your model it doesn't add up. OK, maybe I'm being picky but to me this is why the photo doesn't work. Ideally for this to be convincing, the hair would have to have some shine to it and a silkier or wispier texture to it. Just my thoughts, of course :-)

This is an impactful image, the curly hair leading to the main point of interest - the red lip. I like the composition !

This is a beautiful image. Part of its mystique is that it is hard to tell if there was any computer manipulation used.
