I don't know much of fashion photography. What I have read: the clothes are the most important thing on it, not the model, not the light. The light is allways very strong, to show all the details of the clothes. Beside the fashion-photography there are glamour, erotic, pornographic, portrait, lifestyle photography and surely more. So sometimes it is hard to decide, in what category we have to put the photographs. I puted this one in fashion. Best regards. hen Ry

This style is more boudoir, not necessarily fashion; I'm not sure if you were going to for fashion or not.  I like the soft diffused light.  About the only suggestion I have would have been to have the model not sit on her legs. She needed to hover and not actually sit.   It flattens out the muscle and makes any possible cellulite more visible.  I always tell my models to use the "s" shape- push out the chest and the derriere and pull in the stomach.

Many thanks that you took the time to view my photograph and to write a comment. Of course I agree with your comment, this is not a fashion photograph, it is a boudoir. But look what some colleagues put in the fashion section (critic forum fashion), so I wanted to provoque a discussion, also to learn, if my definition of fashion photography is correct. What by the way is lifestyle-photography?? Vegetarian lifestyle, yuppie-lifestyle and so on??  I dont know exactly. Thanks for your remarque that the model should not sit on her legs. I did not see it when I took the photograph, working with photoshop I have seen the problems. So many thanks for your lines. Best regards. hen Ry
