Gabrielle:  The color and contrast fit the mood.  I don't understand the skull, but I'm probably missing the point.  The black stockings seem to fade into the background.  I think more lighting to separate the two would be better.  The bright reflection or buckle on the shoe draws my eyes away from the subject.   Nice shot.  Alan.

A very nice interpretation of that story. I like the concept and have to agree about the stockings. The overall image is terrific and nicely composed.

About the stockings, it's strange because I've uploaded this photo on other photo hosts and there it looks a bit brighter. 
I definitely need to fix it, anyway, so I'm coming back with a brighter version. Thankyou again! :)

Gabriele, I recently had the same problem with black tights on a model. For some reason blacks are showing darker once uploaded to Photo.net. Attractive model, nice tint, the skull is strange though.

Ah Yes... In the end we all must embrace death. A marvelous image indeed. I do find that I must agree about the black on black stockings. Hard to sperate them from the b.g. it is.
