(FRANCE, MIDI PYRENEES, AVEYRON, ESTAING VILLAGE)

The old stone bridge of the beautiful picturesque village of Estaing in the mountainous area of Massif Central in France.

In the background, like in a fairy tale, the impressive and well preserved castle of Estaing dominates this scenic area of Midi Pyrenees - Aveyron in southern France.

The castle now belongs to the family of the former president of France Valery Giscard d' Estaing and after the necessary renovation will house a museum.

The beauty of this picturesque and tidy place and its exemplary photo rendering were worth the wait in anticipation of a post by you. The still-like waters offer a great reflection and the low , warm directional light create a three-dimentionality of the village houses and imposing Estaing mansion.

The image is superb in many ways, however I am not able to express myself as clear as others. I am doing something I have not done before, here it goes, "The beauty of this picturesque and tidy place and its exemplary photo rendering were worth the wait in anticipation of a post by you. The still-like waters offer a great reflection and the low , warm directional light create a three-dimentionality of the village houses and imposing Estaing mansion". Karolos I could not resist to quote the previous PN member who express himself so clearly to what I wanted to say. Every week I check for your next image and when it arrives it is always a master piece. Someone said that to use the word masterpiece was because the person did not know how to express in details what was great or not so great about the image. I feel this image transport me to another time. This image is elegant and exotic with color range that is impresive. Espectacular presentation my friend. It is a 7/7 for me. Warm regards.

Such rich hues, lovely reflections and the historic buildings of this place are all a 'draw' for these 'hungry eyes'. A most beautiful composition Karolos.

Wonderfully composed photo with unusual tranquility  while colors, clarity, warm light and outstanding reflection make it a great picture. I wish I could give you 7 because this deserves it completely. My compliments, Karolos!

More striking still when seen enlarged, The reflection of the branches in the foreground helps to balance out the picture and give it more perspective, a truly excellent shot, bravo.

Hello Karolos,

I have missed seeing any recent posts by you for quite awhile. Hope all is well with you.  This another example of why your work ranks very high amongst my favorites.  Incredible lighting and color tones. A very nice touch in using the tree in the foreground.  It really adds alot to the image.

Welcome back and please continue to share...
